Safer Internet Day 2020 - Martedì 11 febbraio
Can you believe we are already less than one week away from Safer Internet Day? We’ve been in touch with most of you directly over recent weeks, but we just wanted to thank you for all your support and wish you good luck in your actions and events for next Tuesday, 11 February.
Social media
Regarding SID promotional assets on social media, we would like to share three major releases with you:
The SID promotional video was released on YouTube (with subtitles in 20+ European languages), Twitter and Facebook.
The SID infographic was also published on the SID minisite and disseminated on Twitter and Facebook.
The SID social media plan (Issue 2) was shared on the SID minisite - it contains a series of suggested social media messages which you are invited to use in your own SID promotional activities.
Many thanks to those of you who have shared, retweeted and re-posted these with your respective networks. We strongly encourage you to keep doing so in the days leading up to SID, as well as afterwards.
In case you haven't noticed, the #SID2020 and #SaferInternetDay Twitter emoji has been activated.
Please do follow our social media activity in the coming week and on the day itself, and contribute with your own posts - see our Facebook and Twitter profiles, and follow the #SID2020 and #SaferInternetDay hashtags.
SID Twibbon
Please help us increase the campaign's visibility with Twibbon by adding a badge to your social media profiles at bit.ly/SID2020_Twibbon, and by encouraging your networks and contacts to do the same!
Tell us about your successes!
European Safer Internet Centres in the Insafe-INHOPE networks should report on their SID successes using the template as already supplied. For all other countries and supporters, although there is no need to submit a formal post-SID report, we’d still like to hear about your successes! If you’d like to provide us with a blog post (including copyright-cleared images if possible), we’d love to receive it and will link it to your SID profile pages and disseminate it via our various channels. Please send any contributions to the SID Helpdesk.
And finally…
If you have any questions, comments or ideas, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us via the SID Helpdesk. Otherwise, have a great day next Tuesday, and we’ll be in touch just after SID with a quick roundup and news on SID 2021!
Kind regards,
Sarah, Valentine and Óscar
On behalf of the Safer Internet Day campaign
